VicScreen Support on Malys

Hi folks!

We’ve been busy little demonic bees hard at work on Malys - we promise more news very soon - and we wanted to take a quick moment to talk about one of our biggest supporters.

VicScreen have been one of the most impactful champions of Summerfall Studios. VicScreen is Victoria’s creative and economic screen development agency, supporting the arts in a variety of ways. From funding grants, to running events, to developing and upskilling local talent, you’ll find their hands across so many incredible screen projects - and we are so proud to be among them. It’s not hyperbole to say that without the support of VicScreen, Summerfall Studios would not exist today. So many games you know and love have been supported by the agency in their early development to take risks on making new and exciting games for you to play.

VicScreen supported us on Stray Gods development, providing critical funding at key times to help us bring the game to life. Earlier this year, we received a grant supporting Malys on development costs at a key time, just prior to us launching the Kickstarter. This is what has made it possible for us to bring you a version of Malys at all. We’re so grateful to Vicscreen and the Victorian Production Fund, which exists to help support a sustainable and competitive industry, right here in Victoria, Australia. We are so grateful to our friends at VicScreen for recognising Malys' potential, and backing the studio in a time when the industry is struggling.
